With craft traditions tapestry and carpet-making are found at Aubusson and in Limoges, the porcelain capital, enamels are exhibited in the Dubouché museum. Collonges-la-Rouge stoneware sparkles and Tulle is famous for the accordion, made here since 1919.
Hundreds of ancient village churches dot the landscape as well as more imposing abbey churches and fortresses.
