French Alpine Property On the Up
Holidaymakers shun coastal resorts for summer in the Alps. While traditional sun, sea and sand stays at coastal resorts are declining in popularity with British holidaymakers, a summer in the Alps appears to be just the ticket for those looking for a refreshing break closer to home.
The French Alps are so well known for their snow, many people are surprised to find that summers in the Alps are frequently warmer than they expect, with temperatures as high as 30˚C in August.
Those who visit often enjoy it so much that they buy their own property there, with more than one third of Britons choosing to purchase a property after their visit. Locations include Les Houches, Plagne Soleil, Tigne, Saint-Foy, Tarentaise, Les Menuires, Bourg St Maurice, Chamonix, Courchevel, Serre, Chevalier and Chinaillon near Le Grand Bornand.
